Case Study — AI Quote Agent
ProTint Arizona: an instant, itemized tint quote — no phone call.
A guided quote agent that walks window-tint customers from "my home gets too hot" to an accurate, itemized price estimate in about two minutes — computed by a real pricing engine and saved straight to the shop's pipeline.
The problem
Quotes that take days get shopped around.
Window-tint pricing has traditionally meant a phone call or an on-site visit. Homeowners comparing options in the evening hit a wall — no price, no answer until business hours — and a meaningful share of them never call back. The shop, meanwhile, spends skilled staff time quoting jobs that were never going to close.
The goal: let a customer self-serve a trustworthy, itemized estimate at any hour, while handing the shop a fully-qualified lead — goals, film choice, exact pane measurements, and contact details — instead of a cold voicemail.
What we built
A quote wizard that ends in a real number.
Guided intake. Tinting goals, biggest concern, and timeline shape the film recommendation before any pricing happens.
Film Studio visualizer. An interactive before/after slider with per-film performance specs — heat rejection, UV block, glare reduction, visible light.
Pane-level measurements. Per-window facing, type, room, and pane dimensions with photo upload; the engine prices from square footage, not guesswork.
Real pricing engine. Itemized install cost and tax computed instantly; every estimate persists to a Postgres database with full quote context.
Owner hand-off. Each submission fires a notification email with secure one-click approve-and-schedule links that expire after 48 hours.
How it works
The customer walks their own job.
Land, and start — no login, no friction
The customer is promised exactly one thing up front: a transparent, no-pressure estimate in under two minutes.

Tell it what you're trying to fix
Goals, the single biggest concern, and timeline — selected in taps, not typed. These drive the film recommendation later.

See the film before you buy it
The Film Studio renders a before/after comparison per film family, with honest performance numbers underneath — and a recommendation based on the goals chosen a step earlier.

Measure like an installer would
Each window is captured pane-by-pane — facing, window type, room, dimensions, optional photo — with an illustrated guide so customers measure the pane, not the frame. This is what lets the estimate be accurate instead of a range.

A real number, saved to the pipeline
The estimate (shown at the top of this page) is computed from the actual square footage and film choice, then persisted with a reference ID. The customer gets confirmation; the shop gets a fully-qualified lead with every detail attached.

Screenshots are from the real application running end-to-end against its database — the walkthrough uses a sample customer, and the $914 estimate is the pricing engine's genuine output for the measurements entered.
